December 24 - Christmas Eve Update

We got some GREAT news yesterday afternoon - Hudson’s ANC is 2,059 and his respiratory panel was negative! This means we’re good to go for admission on Friday and won’t need to be in isolation (as long as he remains healthy and without symptoms). Thank you so much for your prayers for good results! 💛

We were able to celebrate Christmas early with our families over the weekend (Matt and I each with our respective families, with Kate and Hudson). Despite the circumstances, we had good times and Hudson kept his mask on almost all day both days. We initially weren’t planning on having him at the celebrations the whole day in order to minimize the time of his exposure to so many people. But when staying home in the flu house wasn’t an option, we had to make the best of it, and he definitely overperformed with his mask! He’s such a trooper! Matt’s parents have graciously allowed Hudson, Kate, and Matt to stay with them in order to keep Hudson and Kate away from Clare. All of us are taking Tamiflu preventatively, and so far, so good. Hopefully we will stay healthy and Clare will feel better soon - we’d appreciate continued prayers for these intentions. 🙏🏻

We have again been overwhelmed and overjoyed at the generosity of our community during this time. We’ve received multiple surprises and gifts over the last couple of days, and it’s truly so humbling to know how many people are thinking of and praying for Hudson and our family. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you all. Your prayers are helping us through this unexpected challenge. We wish you all a blessed and very merry Christmas! May we all feel the joy and peace of our Lord Jesus born into our hearts this Christmas.🎄
